Many teenagers experience confusion on the subject of their sexuality. Thuscausing distinct emotions usually in the form of depression or embarrassment. It could be because their friends talk about gays being bad or used the term “gay” in a way suggesting something is stupid or by far unacceptable. Society in some ways is not ready to accept homosexuality, but this should not discourage anyone from expressing their feelings or “coming out of the closet.” The term “gay” though many know what it means, even more misuse the term. The current use of the word “gay” means homosexual; or being attracted only to the same sex. 

There are many organizations for homosexuals.  You may want to look up some of the websites out there (careful some advertised websites could be inappropriate).  Most search engines online will be able to get you to a website for you to find out some of the information you may want.

Bisexuals are those who are attracted to both men and women. Many have chosen bisexual as their sexual orientation, because teen and college years are the time when most people are experimenting.

Heterosexuals, or straights, are people who prefer the opposite gender. Women would like men, and men would like women. Most third world countries have banned or they shun the practice of homosexuality, therefore they preach heterosexual, as the way people should be.  Some say “God hates gays” or “God’s intent was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve,” but is not God all loving and all forgiving?

What ever your orientation, you are still a person. It is no ones businessyou’re your own what your sexual orientation is. Remember, that if someone discriminates against you because of your sexual preference, it is a crime and punishable.
