Menstrual Cycle

Most girls who have not had their menstrual cycle yet want to know what it’s all about and some advice, but most of us do not want every little disgusting, embarrassing detail. Here are some facts and some advice. The facts: An egg is released from the ovary, when sperm, the tissue, does not fertilize the egg and the stored blood is released. This process continues for about 5-7 days each month until pregnancy or menopause. This natural process can be irregular for the first few months or years. It can also follow an irregular pattern because of illness, emotional times, or stress. If it becomes very irregular you might want to consult a doctor.

Other things that can come with the menstrual cycle are stomach cramps, headaches and some other things. A lucky few do not get stomach cramps while other get sever pains. My advice to you is to take some Tylenol or Midol or another pain medicines to get rid of the cramps. If they become too painful or severe you might want to ask the doctor's opinion on what you should do.

Also, most girls tend to begin having their menstrual cycle between ages 10-15, but it may vary from person to person. Also keep in mind that you are not alone every girl or women has to go through this too. We all know how you feel. If you have any other questions or comments please email the address on this page.
